Aki heaved a sigh once the corset was laced up completely, fingers brushing her waist length hair back over her shoulder. She came to the mirror and adjusted the corset so it fit right on her body, looking at herself in the corset and bloomers, turning to the servant once she was satisfied to lay eyes on her and give her a small, modest smile that meant she was ready for the skirt. First the servant helped Aki into the hoopskirt and then they were hefting her into the black underskirt and red bustle skirt to complete the majority of her outfit. Then the jacket was pulled on but once Aki saw the image in the mirror she decided to take it off, opting instead to just go with a shawl. Then it was to the vanity to sit in the chair to let the servant lady get to fixing Aki's hair in the general manner she tended to wear it. Some of it left down to swing about her waist with the rest of it pinned up in curls and a pleasant hat sat just right on top, tipped to the side in the slightest manner atop the curls. Aki fussed with the servant lady with the makeup, pale skin not needing much makeup to become any paler and rouge on cheeks to make them rosy. To match what she wore, rouge was put on her lips to stain them and noir on her eyes to increase the thick black soot looking lash against her skin and compliment honey brown eyes. Finally, the servant as on her knees, lacing Aki's feet into boots and when Aki stood and looked in the mirror again she was pleased with her look. Dismissing the servant, she went to pulling on her gloves and knelt down to the floor boards to pull up a loose board where she hid the blades she kept on her person. Arming herself by putting them in hidden places, the blades looking like harmless objects, sharpest and biggest of which looking like a decorative comb in her hair. Then she grabbed up a choker and put it on, not fully satisfied with herself.

Getting ready for the day in the mornings took a good couple of hours from bathing and cleaning up to dressing before she saw anyone. Out of the room she walked, grabbing up a clutch on her way out, heavy doors closing behind her and she descended the stairs to enter into the sitting room where she found her parents, both sipping from tea cups. Her mother cast her a glance and was raising immediately to fuss over Aki.

"You're not covered enough," The woman spoke, pulling the shawl further over Aki in attempt to cover up shoulders and buxom bosom. Aki pushed her hands away with a sound of defiance and stepped back.

"I'm fine, Mother," She said, brows furrowing. "Now what is it this morning I had to rush through getting ready for?" She asked, curious but suspicious at the same time. Her Mother pursed her lips and strolled across the room to glance out the window at the outside where people strolled the streets.

"We've got someone else for you to meet," Her Mother began and that was all it took for Aki to turn on heel and storm off, ignoring her Mother rushing behind her and cawing over her disobedience and out the door she seemed to float, walking quickly once she hit the street to escape.

It wasn't for about fifteen minutes until she slowed to a stroll, now realizing that in her eagerness to get out and away from the torture of being introduced to another rightful suitor in her parents' eyes she hadn't a book or anything to sketch or paint on. Nearing a bench, she slowed to slide into the seat, eyes flickering around the sights. She was now in a slummier part of the city which she had no fear of being in and knew she could find something to get up to here. Pursing her lips as she scanned her surroundings, eyes landed on a pub and she rose and quickly made her way over and inside. Once inside the tension was thick, men looking her over as she made her way to the bar with her head high and eyes focused forward on the barkeep. Sliding onto a stool there she offered a smile and pulled money from the clutch in her hands before speaking her order to the barkeep.

Once her drink was sat down in front of her, she began to scan the room nonchalantly, taking in the appearance and observing everyone she saw. A voice to her left brought her attention back around and she looked over the man with interest, brow arching as she looked him over. All this time her parents had been searching for suitors for her and they had yet to let Aki search for herself. He looked like a well dressed and well kept man despite the area and they both seemed to stick out in the bar but he seemed much more comfortable in the place in some ways. Aki shifted and leaned over, drink clasped in gloved hand.

"It's a bit early for a drink don't you think?" She asked with a little laugh, brow arching as she looked at him, words spoken despite her own drink in her hand. The man looked to be less frightening and rough than the other men in the bar so she decided to turn towards him to speak to him and have him as company.

Aki's mother answered the door and she looked apologetic beyond all doubt. "Sire," She began, shaking her head. "Our daughter, whom you were supposed to meet, has stormed off and left us just a few minutes before you arrived." She said, stepping aside to let him in. "Her sister usually knows where Aki goes when she leaves, she can tell you where to find her," Aki's mother looked grief stricken. What had she done to raise a daughter such as Aki? Behaving like she did was not becoming of a woman these days. Aki was too independent and much too head strong. Women were not like that in these days. Aki's father joined in.

"Dear, Sire, I deeply apologize for my daughter's insolence," He said, shaking his head. "Our other daughter here says Aki tends to wander and wander into the lower class part of the city," He explained. "She enjoys going to a pub there," He murmured, rubbing his face. This was most embarrassing. This Sire had come to meet Aki and just moments before his arrival the girl stormed out and left them hanging. "You may find her there," Aki's father explained. "Again, we deeply apologize for the trouble. We just don't know what to do with her," Her parents looked stricken. They seemed worried and angry at the same time.

Would there ever be a suitor found for their insolent daughter?
