Job/Occupation: He inherited the Opium Dens from his parents, his mother having died when he was 10 and raised by his father whom died when he was 16. He's been running the Opium Dens since he was 16, continuing with the family business. He earns a pretty profit from it since all members of society come there and the upper class pay a pretty penny for their Opium but he still remains listed as middle class, which is fine with him.
Personality: Shou once dreamed of becoming part of the upper class society in Victorian England but soon that dream was killed by reality. He knew he would never be accepted into that part of society and so he gave up on his dreams of climbing the social ladder. He has many acquaintances of upper class society but they remain only that, knowing him from their visits to his Opium Dens. He has several locations and he can be found in one every day, enlisting the help of other lower class citizens to help him run the dens now that both of his parents are dead. He pays them fairly and he gets paid fairly, causing him to remain as a middle class citizen. He enjoys his work, Opium a dream drug for him. He can often be found puffing on an Opium pipe himself. He knows that his business is not well liked at all by politics and those who run the country and city but they allow it because so many of the citizens that "count" to them use it. He is aware of the extreme clash of citizenship. He's a dreamer most of all which is why he enjoys Opium so much. He dreams when he smokes it and he enjoys providing his clientele with such the ability to dream dreams. It's his job to provide that ability and he loves it.
A Little History/Background: Shou has been part of the Opium business since he was 10. His parents taught him well. He enjoys his upper class clientele the most because they pay pretty pennies for the best Opium his dens have to offer. He's learned a lot from his parents and now that he's on his own he tries to run them as best as he can with the best workers he could find. Growing up, Shou used to dream of what it would be like to be waited on rather than doing the waiting on other citizens but now he's grown into a bit of a realist, accepting the fact he probably won't ever rise to high society. He's given up that dream and instead wishes to make the best of his life as it is now. His parents had wanted him to settle down with a nice girl but he realized early on that women weren't his tastes. He desires men and often finds himself taken in by some of the men that come into his dens. He enjoys men with power and that are foul mouthed, basically because he's so proper he is attracted to grittiness and crudeness.
Show Me What You Can Do! A Sample Post!: Shou leaned against the front counter, the front room of the Opium Den located in the upper class part of the city decorated beautifully but simply just an entrance room, looking up as the door opened and in came a group of well dressed men. He smiled politely and stood up straight, closing the book he had been reading. "Hello gentlemen," He said softly, looking from one to the other.

"Hello, darling," One of the men said, smiling at Shou. He was a regular and Shou blushed at the name 'darling' directed to him. "The gentlemen here and I would love to taste a new flavor of your Opium. Can you set us up?" He asked, holding up a velvet bag full of coins that would be greatly needed to Shou and his operations. He nodded his head and moved from behind the counter.

"Of course, gentlemen," He said, motioning them to follow him. "This way," He said, moving to a doorway that was covered by thick velvet drapery of a deep royal purple. He spread them open and led the men through the doorway into the back room where there were already several members of their society puffing on Opium, smoking the delicious drug and in different kinds of relaxed states or invigorating conversation fueled by the drug. "I have something brand new and that will take you to different places. You'll never know dreams like this one gives you," He said, pulling out chairs at a table for them. "If you'll just have a seat, I'll get everything for you," He said, smiling as he looked over each of the gentlemen. They are an attractive group and he felt his stomach stir with butterflies. He left to get what they desired and when he came back he had one of his best pipes and a small bottle with the drug in it. "Enough for all of you for a couple of rounds of smoking," He said, setting everything down. "Oh, and, here," He pulled out matches, setting them on the table as well.

"Very well, Shou," The one gentleman he knew well said, taking Shou's hand and pressing the velvet sack into his hand. "I trust your word that this is well worth it," He said, looking up at Shou's hazel eyes and the blond haired, pale skinned young man blushed and nodded.

"I'll leave you to it then, gentlemen. If you need anything, I'll be in the front but of course there is always help here, as you can see," He said, pointing out the people that worked for him in various parts of the den. "You can always call on them as well," He said, smiling and then leaving them to it, walking back to the front, heart pounding hard. Though he had given up dreams of being part of their society, he still couldn't help but fawn over their kind.

Anything that should be noted specifically about your Muse: He loves his Opium Dens and loves doing his job. Though he's given up his dream of being part of upper class society he still dreams of meeting a man of some kind of power. He's not aware that the creatures of lore really exist but he reads about them and finds an attraction to certain types of them because of the power and the unpredictability. He's often dreaming of being seduced by a vampire or something close to that.
