She is considered a lady in waiting, her family searching for the right suitor to her. -gene- is patient and knows that when it's meant to happen it will happen but other than that she keeps her head down and prefers to work the pub, serving the upper class with their drinks and food
Personality: -gene- is a quiet girl, preferring to have her head down and nose buried in a book. She's very independent and thinks for herself but it doesn't stop her parents from believing there is a suitor for her out there somewhere. -gene- believes that her parents ought not to try to rush it or try to make it happen and instead should let it happen on its own. She knows that one day she will find a suitor just for her, someone who will love her exotic features and blue eyes. She's very agreeable but slightly solemn. She's a huge fan of Emilie Autumn's performances and agrees with Emilie that "intelligent girls are more depressed" because she firmly believes she's an intelligent girl but she's solemn and slightly depressed. She'd rather serve people in the pub than meet another suitor whom doesn't find her fitting, find her beautiful. She knows how the world works and she knows that it won't be easy for a middle class woman like her to find a suitor. This is what partially saddens her.
A Little History/Background: -gene- has grown up in a loving family. She works in the pub her family owns that serves the upper class. She doesn't mind doing it, she enjoys the work. She'd rather work than spend her days doing nothing. In her free time she can be found reading books of all kinds, sucking up as much knowledge as she can. She's artistic, she enjoys painting and things like that. She has also saved up as much money as possible to own a camera of her very own and takes very good care of it, using it to express herself artistically. She is very good with the camera though her images aren't for everyone. She often uses herself as a model for some of her photos, loving the beauty of shadows of patterns on the nude body. She uses juxtaposition of light and dark in her photos. She's a hard working girl with a smart mind and artistic ability and she can often be found at Emilie's performances, thoroughly enjoying every moment.
Show Me What You Can Do! A Sample Post!: gene sat in back of the pub, a book blocking her face, eyes scanning the pages, reading, drinking in all of the knowledge within the pages. She was studying werewolves now, wondering if she had ever even encountered one. Her name being called went ignored for a few moments until her mother showed up, pulling the book down to look gene in the face. "Daughter, you're needed. We're swamped. Put the book down and go to the barkeep," The woman said and gene blushed and nodded.

"Yes mother," She said softly, standing up and marking her page in her book before putting it away. She headed out to the bar, eyes widening at the crowd. It wasn't often they were as swamped as they were tonight and she knew she'd be kept incredibly busy. She licked her lips and leaned against the bar, looking at the first customer she found without a drink or anything in front of him. "What is it you'd like?" She asked and the man looked over her, his eyes drinking in her pale flesh, exotic features with the blue eyes and he leaned forward with a smirk.

"Your name will do," He said and gene fought the urge to roll her eyes.

"My name is none of your business. You're either here for drinks or food and I serve both so take your choice. Drinks or good, my name is not on the menu," She said, folding her arms over her chest, blushing as his eyes rudely drank in her buxom bust, accentuated highly by the tightly tied corset. The man scoffed at her attitude and looked at his friend beside him, the man hardly able to keep himself from laughing.

"A whiskey then," He said sourly and gene nodded, moving to get him a whiskey with a scowl on her own face. Sometimes she hated dealing with the greedy, hungry men wanting nothing but young flesh. Sometimes it didn't bother her but she had been happily enjoying her studying of werewolves and was thoroughly disappointed she had to trade her study for dealing with the impolite men whom only saw breasts and curves and an exotic face, a mixed girl of Japanese and English, not a woman with brains and beauty. She served the whiskey then quickly walked off to serve someone else, trying not to glare at every man that looked at her.

Anything that should be noted specifically about your Muse: -gene- had a run in with a vampire at one point and was almost turned. Since then, part of her studies and reading has been on the creatures of folk lore in Victorian England. She knows they're real and she wants to learn all she can about them. The only thing that saved her life was a drunken couple stumbling down the alley she was caught in and the vampire fled, leaving her alone, reeling from the experience. She had been thoroughly seduced by his eyes alone and she often looks at people she encounters every day, wondering if perhaps this person or that one could possibly be a creature that people only believe are real in hysteria but don't believe are truly real outside of hysteria.
